Started when I was 15 in 1945 on the dirt track at Coburg
which was later made asphalt (similar to Preston’s) and
then concrete (current track) |

Tell us about the good old days |
Cycling today is terrible no depth and no real stars. We did
not worry about diets. Sid Paterson ate and drank everything
and was still a champion. |

How many Km/Hours a week do you do? |
Had to get up at 4.30am to get in as many miles as possible
before work. |

What sort of bike do you have? |
“Super Stevens” from a bike shop in Sydney Road (Norm
Stevens won a Melbourne to Ballarat as a Coburg rider) |

None since a 50 tonne tip truck ran over my right ankle!. |
