Northern Combine - Lancefield - Newham 62km Scratch race

RESULTS

“A” Grade  consisted of only one rider  (Thomas Donald)   who was very sportsman-like and pulled out of the sprint after doing a 10km turn of pace before the finish. 

First                       –             Ben Koops (StKilda) won in a great sprint against 11 of the B/C starters.

Second                  –              Luca Giacomin (Brunswick)

Third                     –              Simon Quinn (Hawthorn)

Fourth                  –              Harry Hanley (Hawthorn)

Fifth                      –              Vivian McCarthy (Macedon Ranges)

Sixth                      –              Ian Coker (St Kilda)

Seventh                —            Simon Welsh (Coburg)

Comments:   With such a small field it was agreed by all to give the “D” grade rider a start of 15 minutes, with the field of B&C grade riders to race in one group.
