Comments--
45 riders started, six pulled out after doing 1 lap (31 kms) Three
having punctured.
Another
two punctured on lap 2 and withdrew. 10 withdrew overall.
It was
cold and a strong north wind blew all through the race. The race all
came together in the last two kilometres and with the uphill finish
the winner won by over two bike lengths.
The next
13 places were filled in 12secs so all riders shared the same time.
Good sportsmanship was shown by all placegetters and no sanctions
were needed. |
