August 29th 2005

Congratulations to Paul Logan who took 10th place in the 2005 Coota Classic 120km handicap on Saturday 27th Aug.  With over 180km starters and a strong scratch bunch, this was a great result.  Read Paul's report here.

Coburg members wishing to race the John Sewell Handicap this Saturday 3rd September at Newham will need to pre-register by 5pm Wednesday 31st August.

Great results from Coburg riders in the Victorian Masters Road Champs, with Helen Lawson taking first place in the Women's Masters 30km road race, and Tom 'Spud' McDonough finishing third in the Masters 2 division 90km road race.

Congratulations to Helen Lawson, who took the gold medal in the Victorian Masters Women State Time Trial.

Congratulations to Darren Lathorne, who finished 11th overall in the recent Tatts Cup - Tour of Gippsland.  Coburg members Adrian Hanson and Steve Pilson also raced - read more here.


August 6th 2005

Regular weekly track training for Masters cyclists is now underway on Sunday afternoons at DISC between 1-2 pm (novices) and 2-4 pm (experienced trackies).  Cost is $5 for the first sessions and $10 thereafter, and track bikes can be hired for $5.  For more info, see Cyclesport Victoria.
