Northern Combine 3 day tour Saturday 8 June - Monday 10th June, 2007 A grade Mitch Docker destroyed A grade on stage 1, by winning the stage and then did not turn up on Sunday. His Drapac Porsche team mate and Coburg rider Darren Lapthorne put in a TT of 18.39 to record the fastest time trial for the Tour. Casey Munro (also Drapac Porshe) won the Tour. B grade Attacks all Tour and TT winner (Wilson) lost the Tour for 2nd year in a row. Hurley was a deserving winner of the B grade Tour, as he road a very aggressive race. Hewatt (Sunbury) broke his collar bone on stage one. C grade Peter Ferrie won the C grade Tour with a commanding win in the Time Tria, (Peter beat most B grade TT times). With Wayne and Mick controlling the race, to Sunbury's dismay, Pete did enough to hold on for the win. Tim Harman road well to claim 5th outright in his first Tour. D grade Mick Burke won the Tour based on his TT (Mick would have placed third in C grade TT). Ian missed out by one second on claiming second outright in the D grade race. A Juniors Josh Ferrie was in the results most days, with a final outright place of 3rd. Sam Lilley had a good race in A grade as well, supporting Josh. Big thanks to Simon Perry (B grade com), Garry Jennings (C grade com), Jamie Hanson (com + first aid), Frank Harkins (motorbike scout), Bill Sherriffs, Jordan Sutherland and Terry Stewart for corner duties.
